I think that a law that California passed basically put an end to the Reno camp, due to limiting the amount of contact practices that HS players can have it something like that.

How does a law in California impact a football camp in Nevada?

My guess would be the inability of teams to participate.

I think most of the teams that participated were from Cali.

Now that the Reno camp is no more (and the Fresno camp is looking iffy too, from what I hear), what are the best options for west coasters?

I know the guy who runs the Fresno camp. I will see if I can get any info on that. California's nanny state mentality screws up businesses all the time.

Will you have some from the camp confirm the "tentative" dates? The website lists June 11th - 14th OR June 25th - 28th in one place, and June 18 to 21 OR June 25 to 28, 2015 in another.

Thanks for the links, but I was wondering about specific info for this year.  I've registered for the camp for the past 2 years, but was wondering about this year since I've heard conflicting information about this year (due to the CA law change).  Hoping to attend multiple camps this year and I didn't want to register for Fresno again only to have it be cancelled after the registration for other camps was closed.  I guess it all depends on how many HS teams the main Fresno camp can attract.

NorCalMike, let us know if Pete has any more info...

Fresno state will be making a decision about the camp on March 1st. If it is a go there will be a couple of spots open.

If anyone is thinking about a good high school camp they should consider Front Range Football Officials Camp in Fort Collins Colorado at Colorado State University. Camp is a very good high school camp. Last year we had 10 high schools participate. Camp includes on field instruction, video evaluation and is very affordable. Location is great and the staff is outstanding. http://frontrangefootballof.wix.com/fortcollins

For the record, the Fresno camp is off.

FSU couldn't field enough teams to make the camp due to the new CA legislation.  Definitely a bummer for those of us who were planning on that being our camp this year!  hEaDbAnG
