Assignor/Helping Relocating Officials
« on: March 24, 2015, 01:48:48 PM »
Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.  I am the assignor for a FB Association in the St Paul/Minneapolis Area and (2) of our officials are moving to North Carolina in a couple of weeks.  One to Charlotte and the other to Greensboro.  Does someone know someone who can connect me to assignors in those areas?  Two good guys and good officials-just trying to help them.  My e-mail address is tomwollansr@gmail.com-any and all help would be much appreciated.   Thanks

Probably there are many ways/methods used by officials that are relocating or assignors accepting relocating officials. I'll share with you guys ours, which seems to work well, but don't consider a change unless yours isn't.

Relocating officials : Should obtain a letter of recommendation from current chapter secretary/assignor/president /whoever. Letter should state ;(1) years of service, (2) post season assignments, (3) Position(s) worked, (4) charter's internal rating of him. Current chapter members
may want to take him out for an adult beverage -if he's a good guy - after his final meeting. eAt&

Incoming officials : Should obtain a letter of recommendation from previous chapter - in this
hi tech world, Emails will do . Our chapter works between 5 & 11 games per week (many games involve teams from other chapters), so 25 assignments are the minimum. Those assignments come from the top 25 officials in our internal rating. The new guy is tenatively ranked 26th as not to slight anyone in the top 25. After the new guy is no longer new, he would be rated by his peers and assigned as such . Current chapter members may want to take him out for an adult beverage - if he seems like a good guy - after his first meeting. eAt&

No relocating or incoming officials : Chapter members may want to go out for an adult beverage anyway. eAt& eAt&  tiphat:
