Sarah Thomas to be on Fox News tonight

Saw the interview.  She seemed reluctant to be there -- like she was forced to do it by the League.  I take that as a good sign -- she did not appear to be seeking the limelight.  Just wanted to fit it,

But she IS in the limelight, like it or not. I hope she can handle the pressure and notoriety.

Her success will be a success story, and I wish her that. Unlike the female basketball player officiating the men's game or the softball player umpiring a baseball game, football has never really been a "female friendly" sport. Nearly all football officials at any level, played football at some level and bring with them "game sense" to their officiating careers. Unlike her male counterparts, Ms. Thomas had to learn the game from the " outside-in", and has performed credibly .

If Ms. Thomas becomes the vanguard of female football officials in the NFL, I predict the following :

 (1)  Like when Team USA won Olympian gold in woman's ice-hockey, women will see an open path in becoming a  zebraette  .

 (2) Our chapter meetings will lighten up and no longer be a bunch of grumpy ole' men    arguing about something trivial.

 (3) The feminine touch to road-trip "picnic baskets" will ensure that we eat better, drink safer, and enjoy our journey.

 (4) The Red Sox will win the 4th World Series this century .

 (5) The Patriots will win the 5th Super Bowl this century
