Sorry about hijacking the post for another question on this same CFO quiz but I thought it didn't deserve a new topic. If I'm wrong, please open a new one for this...
Question 4 says the clock starts on the snap. It references 3-4-3 and says "The team ahead fouls inside of two minutes, so the clock starts on the snap. This is independent of whether the penalty is accepted or declined."
But 3-4-3 actually says two conflicting things.
"The referee shall order the game clock or play clock (...) This includes starting the game clock on the snap if the foul is by the team ahead in the score."
Then it goes on to say
"If the game clock is stopped only to complete a penalty for a foul by the team ahead in the score inside the last two minutes of a half, it will start on the snap, at the option of the offended team."
So this question 4, if the clock starts on the snap or on the signal depends on the decision by the offended team...
right?
