SKF

Play was a shift from a punt formation to a shotgun with only two players numbered 50 - 79.

I think the SKF requirements are determined at the snap, so the question then becomes can you have motion in an obvious scrimmage kick play? I think I wouldn't consider it obvious, so I would have a flag for an illegal formation.

Sorry for the delete.

I threw the flag at the snap and called IF.   The coach said that they had run this play all year and nobody had flagged them.

Yes, SKF is determined AT THE SNAP -- 2-16-10.  Why can't you have Motion on a Scrimmage Kick?

You can, but is it still obvious that a kick will be made? I've never seen motion on a SKF play, so I'd say it isn't obvious.
