This is a novel way to take care of the funny business we saw recently when a team had a kick returner laying on ground "hiding".   aWaRd ;D yEs: ^good tiphat: ^TD

I'm likin' it.  Haven't had to deal with a player trying to hide, yet.  But, at least we know what to do.  Easy.

So, why isn't the "deke and run" play this easy?  It could have been.

I was about to say the same thing.

A player trying to camouflage himself in the grass like a commando: No way, can't have that, must creatively construe all available rules to eliminate this menace.

A player trying to fool the opponent that the ball is dead by exploiting the opponent's good-faith attention to a rule designed for his own safety: No problem, go nuts!
