Memory And Definition Questions

A couple of questions for you guys:

#1 - Anybody developed acrostics or other memory aids to help memorize special enforcement fouls?

#2 - Reading 9-9-1 for the umpteenth time, and for the first time wondered, "who is a player not subject to the rules?" If a player is one of the 22 "in the game" aren't they all subject to the rules? Can anybody give me an example of a "player not subject to the rules?"

In past discussions if my memory serves me correctly a "player not subject to the rules" is a player in full uniform who is not one of the 11 legal players for either team actually on the field and is not an incoming substitute or a departing substituted player.  I'll also note that in those same past discussions there seemed to be mutual agreement that the wording "player not subject to the rules" left a lot to be desired.

Thanks. Seems like the person you described would fall under “noneplayer.”

Agreed, and that "definition" seems to fit the actual definitions in rule 2 but that would leave us with no "definition" of the " … player not subject to the rules".  I also seem to remember that the term " …. player not subject to the rules" is an oxymoron since you can't be both a "player" and "not subject to the rules" unless maybe you're a playing member of the team but not inside the stadium???  ;D
