My crew had that game. John Paul, who won, is now playing for the state championship this week (TAPPS Div. I).

It went from 7 to 11:20! Longest varsity game (and longest single game) I've ever worked. Second half and OT was almost 3 hours itself.

After about the 5th or 6th overtime I'd have been tempted to tell both coaches OK, we're gonna take a 10-15 minute break, and I'd head  straight to the concession stand, I'd be starving at that point, LOL

(Not really... but I'd sure have wanted to!)

What was strange about the breaks is that every time we went to the benches to try and get them out, they stayed over there. Not long -- they came out after a few seconds, but "hey, coach, let's have them" or whatever we said didn't immediately work. However, when I went over there to tell them we'd take a 2 minute break, the team immediately came out! Then the other team. I didn't want to disrupt their flow, so I just turned around and we played ball.

I should have had a chain guy call in a pizza order!
