OSU-Mich unsportsmanlike penalty
« on: November 30, 2019, 08:35:03 PM »
UM was called for unsportsmanlike conduct. If two players are involved in the same act shouldn't they both have been penalized 15 yards ? In a case like this which player gets the USC "first warning"?

RR has shown at least 1 video with multiple players in a choreographed celebration and said each should
Be penalized

Each penalized 15 yards for the UNS, or each charged with an UNS and 15 yards enforced?

I think it should be a 15 yard penalty with each offender getting a counter.  So, if all 11 offensive players dance after a touchdown, the team will be penalized 15 yards and all 11 players will now have a counter.

Please do not penalize a team 90 yards for a six-player celebration

Just give all six a strike and mark off 15

If RR or SS are really arguing otherwise... yeah, it's still not gonna happen in one of my games

Unless your supervisor has explicitly told you he wants that, you should probably assume he wants the opposite of that

Yeah, I am not familiar with the videos of which TxMike speaks.  I'd like to see those, because, for many, many years we have been told that such "group" UNS fouls would just be one 15 yard penalty, but everybody gets one on their counter.
Show us TxMike.

. And AR 9-2-1-I supports that

The videos talk about the counting of UNS for each one not the addition of yards for each one

Ah, that makes more sense.  Thanks.
