Any good HUDL Film?
« on: January 28, 2020, 08:05:16 AM »
Good morning everyone!  I wanted to see if anyone has any good huddle film to go over for film study. Our crew is trying to get together occasionally during the off-season to watch game film and go over rules and applications. Does anyone have any good training film or clips you are willing to share?

Just search YouTube for "football officiating" or "officials training".    Check the dates on the videos as there are a lot out there that are out of date in regards to certain rule changes.

Matt Sumstine's videos are here- http://refereeclinic.com/videos
S. Dakota HSAA here- https://www.sdhsaa.com/Officials/Sport-Specific-Information/Football/Training-Videos

Not sure about everyone else but our Hudl set-up in NC doesn't allow "field level" officials to download video or share outside our group.

Don VanDemark, who does the Friday Night Stripes podcast, has put together a pretty big (88 videos and counting) on a YouTube playlist here:

I really like the stuff Mark Andrews does on YouTube. He's the Orange County, CA assigner and gets a lot of his video and annotations directly from CIF interpreter Steve Coover. I've watched his weekly videos as part of my weekly prep for a few years, but unfortunately he only put out 7 videos this past season.

You can also check his "playlist" section (can't find them in "videos/uploads" for some reason) and find some really in depth preseason rules study videos. It's from 2018 so you need to know which changes have been made, but it's still 98% relevant and great material.
