Cancellation of First Touching

Would the acceptance of a non-player foul,(K's coach makes contact with an official in the restricted zone) cancel R's right of first touching?

I think not.  This is a live ball foul which is treated (enforced) as a dead ball foul.  Therefore, it is treated as if it had not happened DURING the down which is a requirement for R to loose the right to take the ball at the spot of first touching.

No.  It's treated as a dead ball foul.

I agree although the rulebook states "if the penalty is accepted for "any" foul". Seems like a poor choice of words. Maybe, "for a foul other than non player or unsportsmanlike" would make for a better choice.

I agree. It is a dead ball non-player foul which are all enforced from the succeeding spot per 10-4-5c

Yes the use of the word "Any" in 6-2-5 clearly can cause confusion. (Any Foul???)

Believe me when I say, I have it on good authority you can expect some editorial rewording of Rule 6-2-5 and its sister Rule 6-1-7 (...Any Live Ball Foul...???)
Unfortunately this will be in the 2021 Rules Book

Never let the Rules Book get in the way of a great ball game!
