The Spring League

So I'm channel surfing and this pops up on FS1, live from the AlamoDome.  Apparently they've been around for about 3 years.

The officials' uniforms look really strange. I suspect they also play with homebrew rules a combination of NFL and NCAA, and hire officials with D1 experience. Who is the supervisor for that league, anyway?

Found a wikipedia article on this league:

Apparently started at 2017 and looks like it is a developmental league (Much like the world league, which later turned into NFL Europe before being disbanded).

They use Austin area officials.  Most have small college experience I think.

I understand that every professional league, in particular, wants to have distinctive things, including officials' uniforms, but, ...c'mon, maaaannn.  FlAg1  Make officiating great again!

Those were my favorite shoes. Comfortable, great grip, not heavy at all, and looked really good. (Got ‘em free with the CFO West, back in the day.) Up on my shoe shelf, today.
My crew today wears solid black shoes, so we don’t have to worry about having matching markings.

I had a similar but maybe a bit older model, I think.  My feet flattened out over time and I ended up moving from a size 10 to an 11 1/2.  I ended up giving them to someone in my association.  I still have a plain black turf model I bought off eBay- the tread essentially looks like a sneaker bottom- but they've held up very well.
