Scrimmage kick touching question

A 4/10 at A30.  A50 punts the ball, and it boinks player A76 in the head, who is behind the LOS at the A27, then the ball continues on, past the LOS.  Is this a violation for illegal touching? 

6-1-3-1 deals with kicks that fail to cross the NZ, (which this one did) and 6-1-3-2 deals addresses kicks beyond the NZ - (which this was not, at the point of being touched by A.)

1. Is it illegal for a Team A player to touch a kick that has not crossed the neutral zone?

2. When and where did Team A touch this kick?

Not illegal then, because touched behind NZ.  I see why I missed understanding this, I was getting hung up on the first sentence of the rule 'A scrimmage kick that fails to cross the neutral zone continues
in play.'  without adding the context of the second sentence 'All players may catch or recover the ball behind the neutral zone and advance it'.  Touching always precedes possession/catching/recovering so no violation.
