End of game kneel down situation

Tight game, team unhappy about how their possession ended.

Kneel down coming, defense bull rushes line and stops on end of play, calls timeout, does it again, then one more time.

Other than sportsmanship issues, can you really justify a call?

Nope. It's still football. As an umpire in a kneel down situation, I always remind the offense that this is still football and to protect themselves.

I agree with this as well.  I try to talk to both teams when this situation comes up by telling them both to not quite playing but also don't do anything stupid.  I've been in and seen where teams attempt the kneel down/victory formation only to have a botched snap and/or fumble/muff and the defense recovered.  I know it's not frequent but it can happen.  Especially if it's a one score game under no circumstances should we tell the defense to do anything that alludes to them not finishing a play or letting up.
