You can have the exact same play occur, but with the teams flipped and the call either made or not made, whichever is the opposite of what occurred in the original and you will get the complete opposite reaction from the coaches and fanboys.
Like you say, had that been a Carolina player on the receiving end of the block and it were not called, Beamer would be complaining about how his players weren't being protected.
