Tech support-My screen view has changed

I don't get smileys or the codes to make quotes or change colors, etc. when I press reply or create a new topic the past couple of days.  I assume I've mashed something I shouldn't have?

Well, ain?t this a bummer. I don?t have them either. :(  When I touch the ?Message Icon? field, I get a pop-up menu with some emojis, but I don?t know yet where they might appear when I send the message. Let me know.

OK, the ?keyboard stroke? emoji I made (colon plus open parentheses) it produced the ?frown? emoji in the actual message. The ?question mark? I selected from the pop-up menu appeared in the heading of the message. But, no grand emoji menu, any more. What happened?

And the apostrophe marks appeared as question marks. No bueno.

I noticed a few posts yesterday with weird characters also,

I'm not sure what's up with the changes to the forum.  I'll see if I can find some time in the next day or two to dig around and see if I can figure it out.

I would think that most folks that participate here would agree that this is not a national crisis. We'll be just fine, as long as we can communicate, which we can. As do we all, you have other things in life that are priority over herding a bunch of out-of-control human zebras. When - if - you get time to check this out and let us know what is going on, we'll be grateful. But it ain't the end of the world. We will carry on, with or without emojis. :)
