Montana State vs New Mexico - Umpire

Watching Montana State at New Mexico on FS1. Umpire not wearing a cap. Anybody know why?

Ok, now he has his hat at the beginning of 4th period. I wonder if he previously had a camera hat, but it stopped working or something, and he got a plain hat at the period intermission.
No crisis. Just curious.

Pretty sure it got blown off his head and tumble weeded away during that wind storm. Took a while to get it back to him.
