25 yds from previous spot always????

Due to penalties, the free kick is moved to the R 35. K attempts an onsides kick, but the kick goes OOB at the 1.  ^flag

If the coach were to choose the option to have the ball 25 yds from the previous spot, do we walk all 25 yds or half the distance?

....And ,if another USC was tacked on to R, an untouched kick OOB would be taken at that spot.

So, if K kicks off from the R 25 due to penalties, and they go for an onisdes kick and it goes OOB at the 1, they can't get 25 yds from previous spot...I reckon they wouldn't have that option.

Correct.  They can't get it in their own end zone, so that is no longer an option.
