Funny you posted this today - earlier I watched a FB reel, that was titled 'A Player Takes His Punishment' or something like that... it was during a game, and a big ole bubba committed a FST, and during the penalty announcement and mark off, both he and the other players came together: some went to him, or he made his way to them, and they lightly bopped him on the helmet. What on paper would sound absurd, in reality wound up looking pretty amazing because you could see the team chemistry. It wasn't a punishment per se, but rather an unspoken acknowledgement that he made a mistake, he owned it, and he took the 'punishment' due him.
