Hand clap for snap
« on: September 15, 2026, 12:17:01 PM »
Coaching in Illinois and have received conflicting information about clapping for the snap. Can a QB  clap his hands and the ball not be snapped, like a fake hut...hut
I have been told it is OK to clap and not receive the ball as long as the QB doesn't make any sudden movements. But several people argue that you must fake clap if the QB is not receiving the ball. I think I know the answer, but I wanted to check with the experts. I think that is just like going on 2; you have to watch the ball.
Thanks!

No rule against clapping multiple times.  No difference then snapping on the 3rd "hut".
