ASA Rules 10 and under fast pitch game.
There is a runner on 3rd with one out. First and second are vacant. Count is 2 and 2. The batter swings at the next pitch and the ball hits her forearm and gets by the catcher.
I believe that if the batter had not been swinging and got hit by the pitch, it would be a dead ball and the batter would be awarded first base and that the runner on 3rd could not advance.
I also believe that it would be a live ball and that the batter-runner would be able to attempt to reach first at risk and that the runner on 3rd would be able to advance at risk, had the batter not been hit by the pitch while swinging and the ball got by the catcher or if the catcher simply was unable to catch it.
But how is this play ruled?

A) Live ball- due to the uncaught third strike, batter-runner can try to make first safely and the runner on 3rd can advance at risk.
B) Dead ball- batter out due to third strike, runner on 3rd can not advance.
C) Live ball- batter out due to third strike, runner on 3rd can advance at risk.
D) Dead ball- batter is awarded first base due to being hit by pitch, runner on 3rd can not advance.
Please provide the rule reference if possible.
