i am putting this here instead of State-specific as it is not about the ongoing soap opera in Texas. It is about a much larger issue. This was buried in a story about the new concussion rules. ==============The committee also said it will consider the use of TV instant replay in state football championship games. It will be a "study item" that will be addressed at a UIL gathering in June, policy director Mark Cousins said. The proposal was made by Westlake coach Darren Allman, whose team lost the Class 5A, Division I championship game, 41-38 to Euless Trinity in overtime. It appeared on TV replay that the game-winning touchdown catch by Trinity receiver Brandon Carter should have been ruled out of bounds, the coach said.http://www.statesman.com/sports/highschool/uil-committee-wants-stricter-concussion-guidelines-977392.html
Dude, you are in Houston. It will be snowing in hawaii before you get a state champ game!!!
And Im sure some of TT's b ball cronnies will by the IR officials.
Oh my goodness! Don't we just have tons of money over at the UIL to throw around to willy-nilly request the instant replay machines and the personnel to man them. I reckon after the UIL goes to paying us a $75.00 flat fee inclusive of mileage then they can well pay for those gadgets! After all, they're only doing it for the kids!
