Penalty signals related to touchdown

A couple of weeks ago, I had the following while I was wearing the WH.  I know that I screwed up (and I'll explain why later), but what's the sequence of signals here?

A's ball, 2nd and goal from the B3.  On the completed pass in the end zone, B commits pass interference.  A decides to enforce the DPI on the try.

OK, first the screwup I did have: Apparently, I never signalled the TD at all, leaving the B coach thinking it was first and goal.  (I could have sworn I did, but nobody on the crew saw it, and the coach said he never saw it, so I never communicated that effectively.)   
My questions:

1.  Is the sequence TD, PI, point to the defense?  Or do I signal the penalty first, indicate the defense, then signal the TD?

2.  Do I need to point to the three yard line to signal that the penalty is on the try, or does the fact that I don't point to the spot of the free kick cover that?

Ideal sequence of events.

Calling official tells you "Ive got a XXXX foul against the defence, the result of the play was a TD."
The crowd can see the flag, but they don't know which team it was on or whether it will nuliify the score they just saw.

You step out to give your prelim signal. You give the penalty signal and that the defense committed it. If it is a foul that the offense must decline to keep the score, then signal the decline too. Then signal the score. Thats your prelim signals done.

Umpire should be getting you a team A captain if you need to ask about enforce at the 3 or kickoff. The captain gives you his choice. Then Team A will vacate the field to let their PAT team come on. Shouldn't be many players around so you can stand nearish to the 3 yard mark to give your final signal. If they are taking it from the 3 to the 1 1/2, then folks will see the Ump march it off as you signal the penalty again. If they are taking it on the kickoff then you point to the kickoff spot.

Think about it as if you were using a mic:  "Pass interference (signal), defense (signal).  The touchdown is good (signal), and we will penalize on the try (signal)."

Do you really give the decline and TD signals on a prelim? I've always been taught to signal only the foul and the fouling team.

In Fed you don't have to decline any penalties by the defense to keep the score anymore.

In Fed, do all penalties against defense carry over on TD's?   In NCAA, it is only PF's.   DPI's would not cover over to try or kickoff.

They do now.  Choice of taking it on the try or kickoff.

Fair point. I work mostly NCAA, so not quite so hot on Fed carryover.

I should've said if you are working NCAA and have a pen that is declined by rule, then use the decline signal.

In this case or similar cases, since you want to quickly let the crowd know what the result of the play is, then Yes.
