It's my understanding that the UIL Basketball is currently implementing films/publications from the National Federation for its "training purposes." They are definitely not making use of the TASO Basketball Mechanics Manual that was published and distributed several years back. Because of the lawsuit and more notably their egos, I really don't think that they intend to use TASO to help with training anything. Unless they can find some sympathetic and reputable "TASO trainer" from football to come to their aid, I really think that they will go the National Federation route. Just my opinion! 
As of TODAY, the TASO website lists 4 links for training: Football Scrimmages, Proper Uniform Empasis, Tie Breaker System and 6-man rules. This horse needs a deeper well.
If you should find yourself getting bored and have absolutely nothing to do, take a gander at the UIL Officials Website, and you'll find a whopping three links on it regarding "training." They are (1) National Federation of High Schools, (2) Arbiter Sports, and (3) Referee. Of these, only the National Federation offers a limited amount of publications, but mostly just rules books: Nothing to do with training. Arbiter Sports certainly doesn't appear to be a training maven as they mostly concern themselves with registration and pay data for officials. Referee would come closer than the other two to offering something for training purposes, but they normally only market supplemental rules and mechanics books. And as far as the UIL is concerned, they are certainly not a training organization either. They don't publish any training documents, training manuals, nor do they have anyone in their employ that is even mildly converscent with the rules. Given that, it is all too clear why the UIL seems to be channeling most of its energy toward the National Federation!
Given what TASO has, inasfar as its many years of experience, its eminently qualified instructors, and its storied association with its resources within both the NCAA and the CCA, the UIL blatantly appears neophytic by comparison. It is all too apparent that TASO's rules resources and their interpretors have probably forgotten more about rules than their UIL counterparts have ever even bothered to learn!
So you've got a rules question: Who are you going pose your question to and trust that they'll be able to give you the correct answer?: (A) Tony Timmons, or (B) Mike Fitch/ Bud Alexander. We all know, all too well, who it is that the UIL's Dr. Breithaupt will call for his rules interpretation: And while it overtly smacks of hypocracy, let's just say that that person is proudly affiliated only with TASO!
