Does anyone know if the new Great American Conference has a website?  How about any clinics they may be doing this Spring?

I don't know if they have a website or not, but someone named Sanford Smith in Dallas, TX is already trying to make money off the conference.   ::)

I'm no legal expert, but I aren't sports logos usually copyrighted?
Now look, you know different people think about life in different ways. Lawyers think life is a big court room, doctors probably think life is like a big operation, and bus drivers think life is... er... a big bus I guess, who knows what the hell those guys think. Anyway, I've always thought of life as a big football game...

When did he buy the rights to the name? While not illegal, neither was the A-11 at one time. See any similarities here? People taking advantage of other people falls under my definition of a turd.

Then again, if the conference leadership were on the ball (not blaming the new commissioner; he was hired after-the-fact) locking down a web domain should have been taken care of BEFORE the announcement of the conference name was released. Then we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Agree - if you are going to start a new business you have to cover ALL your bases before you launch it

The GAC should have a supervisor hired soon. I assume we will find out about camps shortly after.
