As far as I know, the NFL does not make their rule book freely available online. They do sell a copy of it every year which is usually available early to mid September. I bought a copy September 10th this past year.

If you are using this site, better do it quick.  It's illegal, and was submitted to the NFL.

Those books are not the official books that the NFL publishes for their people. The "Game Action Edition" is published for fans. The "real" rulebook is ring bound, and the contents are not exactly the same. Don't think you can buy it, but it's published by "NFL Creative". Perhaps it's possible to call the NFL and talk to the NFL Creative people and ask.

It is NOT ring bound, it is published on a CD.  The ring bound versions are what some officials/supervisors print in order to have a hard copy.

Well, it used to be. But I've been out of the NFL system for some time now.

IF you want an NFL rule book you need to get it from the NFL.
The one you buy at bookstores is the fn version.
THE NFL RULE BOOK is Gray on the cover and has been for many, many years

I would write the NFL officiating department and ask them if they'd be willing to send you a copy.  It never hurts to ask.  They just might send you one.

The NFL RULE BOOK doesn't have a cover, it's on CD.
