Overtime enforcement
« on: September 08, 2012, 09:07:50 AM »
2nd overtime.

Team A scores on its possession and converts one point try.  Team B scores and attempts a one point try.  The kick is blocked and is rolling on ground.  B8 picks up ball as 30 members of Team A come celebrating onto field.  Flag is thrown for unsportmanlike conduct by nonplayer.  B8 is downed at the 24 yard line.

Is the game over or is there another play coming in the game?

I am a little confused by A and B in this situation. Assuming Team A is Team 1 and Team B is Team 2:

You are saying that 1 scored a TD and 1 pt try (7 pts)  and Team 2 scored a TD but had PAT blocked?  Team 2 recovered the blocked kick behind the line of scrimmage and tried to advance  but only got the 24 (ball must have been blocked WAY BACK behind the line).  Team 1 committed Uns Conduct while the ball was live, however, foul was by non-players.  Was there any way you could say the actions of the nonplayers coming on the field interfered with the ball, player or an official?  If so, you can go with 9-2-3 an award whatever penalty you deem equitable.  I would say 1/2 the distance from prev spot and replay try would be equitable.   If you are only going with the Game Admin Interference then it is over.
