1/10 @ 50 yd line. A12 throws an pass, B22 intercepts at the B-40. He runs to the B-45, fumbles and A55 recovers at the B-46. What should the play clock go to? (i know game clock is a wind).
Thanks.
I think I went more than two years without an A-B-A, then had it happen twice in a game at the end of last season. Both times, the PCO set the PC to 25, and waited on me to start the clock. In each case, there was enough field position change at the end of the play, and enough mingling of players, and some level of "what now?" among them and the sideline personnel, that it was simpler to let them, and us, get a little sorted out, then restart the clocks. If the PC had properly been set to 40 and started properly, it would have either expired before the snap, or one team would have had to call a T/O. Since it is a new series for A, neither team gets an advantage by stopping both clocks and starting with a 25 PC, IMHO. 40 is correct, but I think it ought to be changed to 25.
