Laser pointer outbreak?
« on: October 13, 2012, 10:31:04 AM »
The last two Friday nights we have had to stop games and notify law enforcement of laser pointers coming from the stands. Anybody else having issues?

I thought this fad had worn itself out several years ago.  Sorry to hear it's making a comeback.

Could be its just slow getting to us "hillbillies" ;D

In a related note, while at the beach last July, a USCG S&R chopper was grounded for two hours during a search for missing boaters because some goobers flashed one from their balcony.  FAA regulations required the pilot to land due to his vision possibly being altered from it.  There was a big stink in the local paper and tv until the cops located the responsible party.

ON another related note, there was 4500 recorded cases of lasers being directed at planes and helicopters in the UK over the last 3 years. Some people can be such morons.

Now look, you know different people think about life in different ways. Lawyers think life is a big court room, doctors probably think life is like a big operation, and bus drivers think life is... er... a big bus I guess, who knows what the hell those guys think. Anyway, I've always thought of life as a big football game...
