So far this weekend we've had two high profile games with IW situations, and neither one involved an actual
whistle?
While my initial thought was that 1 crew owned up to it while the other didn't..."upon further review", it appears replay stepped in in one game but not the other, so it was not the onfield crew who owned up to it. Chalk 1 up for the Big XII replay crew. (Although it would be hard to own up to a mistake if you were not even aware of it)
Also noticed the R, who has the goal line respoinsibility in these type plays, never signalled TD as the player crossed the GL (in the available video). He was the only one who could have possibly seen where the ball was in relation to the GL when it was released. He must have signalled later as they were set to to do the EP when they got buzzed.
