You know, I can't think of an official in all my years that would condone a flagrant hit, a dirty hit, or one that was just plain past the lines of football. Coaches have put players behind face masks and a visor on top of that and now every one of them thinks he is bullet proof. We get a series of rules to do away with cheap shots and oh my god the caterwauling that starts, just where is the line and how close can I coach to it.
If between the officials on the field, and the replay guy upstairs, every cheap hit and every one close to a cheap hit garnered a player a game suspension, this would stop, and dang quick.
