If the LOS was at B-35, as I guess from the answer (I don't have the test with me), there was no legal forward pass that crossed the neutral zone, so no automatic first down. The pass was first touched behind the neutral zone.

Since pass was blocked at the LOS, the call must be that the pass had not crossed the NZ, or that the B tip occured prior to the hold, therefore it's 10 yards replay 2nd down.

Rule 9.3.4.e When a legal forward pass crosses the neutral zone during a forward pass play and a contact foul that is not pass interference is committed beyond the neutral zone, the enforcement spot is the previous spot. This includes Rule 9-3-4-c (A.R. 7-3-9-I and A.R. 9-3-4-I and II).

PENALTY—10 or 15 yards from the previous spot, plus first down if the foul occurred against an eligible receiver before the pass was touched [S38, S42, S43 or S45].
It's easy to get the players, getting 'em to play together, that's the hard part. - Casey Stengel

See rule 2-19-3-a. When in doubt, read rule 2 :)

Thanks I see my problem

A 2/12 @ B-35

LOS B-35 tipped at B-37, therefore it was tipped behind LOS, so only can be 10 yds ps
