kickoff rule?
« on: June 17, 2014, 09:19:49 PM »
Is there a specific rule that states that after a ball has blown off a tee twice that the kicking team must have someone hold the ball?
I could not find it in the rule book or the case book. I think I remember that there is a rule that states the Ref can impart his judgment to keep the game  on track for lack of a better term. If this rule gives the ref power to make the kicking team hold the ball could you please give the rule number. Again Thanks for your time!

For NCAA there is no such rule. Here in Finland the usual practice is to allow one reset without a holder, but if the ball falls down the second time, a holder is required.

1-6-1 covers elastic powers.
