IFAF World championships

Just wondered what sort of coverage this was getting state side?

Considering the USA was playing the other day I was surprised how low the crowds were.  Do you just not want to watch football during the summer months or is there another reason?

I'm watching. But I know there isn't a whole lot of interest outside of a few groups. There are three things that hinder the IFAF gaining traction here right now. I think most of the problem is simply level of competition. The average football fan in America is used to seeing much better teams play and the international game is not at that level yet. Another factor is the simple fact that most people aren't used to watching football at this time of the year. The third is that there just isn't any publicity for it. There is zero advertising for the international games and it's not on real tv. It's only being broadcast on the internet, so you're not going to catch people just flipping channels. You have to intentionally seek out the game if you want to watch it.

Didn't even realize this was going on. Only an hour away also, might have to get up there Saturday afternoon.

I think the NFL Network, which currently has a dearth of programming, used to broadcast it.  If they aren't willing to, and one of the lower ESPN channels or network sports channels isn't willing to carry it then there is 0 interest in it.

That pretty much sums it up. There's more interest in the Tour de France than that.

This is the first I've even heard about it.  If anyone is broadcasting, they're doing a really, really poor job of advertising.

I received an email from the Canton Stark Co convention & visitors bureau in early July about it. Not sure how I got it, but think they got an email list from the OHSAA officials list as I get emails when the Ohio football championships are held at Canton. It only listed dates and where to get tickets but did not list any TV coverage.
