It is an interesting question where do you draw the line between judgement and rules application. I think most facemask calls/non-calls are more of the rules application nature, so I wouldn't really mind if those were included in the fouls that IR can call / remove.

The LJ went into Hochuli after the play and obviously communicated with him.  Maybe he told him what he saw and then Hoch tossed the flag based on that.  Has Blandino not come out an explained it on his NFL Network segment yet?

Sometimes I think the "Problem" is less people who don't know what they're talking about asking stupid questions, as much as it is other people paying way too much attention to such questions.

I haven't seen anything that may have come out from the league office. 

And I would say that the "problem" isn't going to get any better, Al.  But there are far more critics and people who speak up before knowing what they're talking about.  Unfortunately that seems to be the way of the world these days.

I'm afraid you are absolutely correct, unless more of us simply STOP paying so much attention to really dumb questions, from people we KNOW have no idea what they're talking about.
