Coach: "I've been doing this 30 years!  I know the rules!"
Ref: "Are you married coach?"
Coach (suddenly offguard): "umm...yeah, why?"
Ref: "I've been married 30 years and my wife says there is still room for improvement"
Coach: "<silence>"

He is SUSPENDED, pending review. As a school district employee, my conversation with him the next morning would have been the following:

Mr. _____, please pack up your belongings and make your way off district property as soon as possible. I will finalize whatever pay you have coming but we will hang on to it pending your cooperation with any state or other investigation into the matter. You can tell your union that if I so much as get a protest letter on this matter, no one affiliated with that union will be allowed on district property again.

Have a nice day but do no step foot on district property or I will have you arrested for trespassing.

Any quesitons?

Sad sign of the times, and we EACH have a responsibility to watch each others backs.  Lamenting about school discipline, game exclusions is fine, but the inevitable U-tube of a Coach (player, spectator) being led off the court, field, pitch in handcuffs will likely cause any rational individual to pause and reconsider what consequences their emotions are pushing them towards.

We have to INSIST on charges being made, on site if at all possible, but off site, after the fact, if necessary.
