I'm looking to purchase a new watch for football. Any suggestions?

Most of the Timex Ironman series have timers, many Casio's do to and they can both be had at your friendly neighborhood big box store.

I've been using this for several years now. It has the advantage of being very useful for running the 40/25s clock, too. http://www.casio.com/products/Watches/Sports/RFT100-1V/

I have looked at both the iron man and the Casio. I like the Ironman for the larger face which appears easier to read. The Casio has a vibration feature which I thought would be helpful. Just wondered if experience with one or the other tended to place it higher on your list. Thanks and I appreciate your feedback.

I actually think the vibration feature on the RFT-100 is way less useful than it should be for game timing, because it also suppresses the confirmation beep when you hit the button.  When I stop the clock, I want to know it's stopped without having to look.

I agree. I use vibration only for play clock.

I use the Casio G Shock (model number ? ) . I set it for 20 seconds and it then beeps every second. I can switch to the stop watch for time outs. Nice feature is that the buttons are schrouded so bumping them will not stop (or start) the timer.
I checked other watches and the beeping was continues (beep,beep,beep...) Where the Casio is beep,beep...beep,beep...beep,beep...every second. Hope that this made sence.
I have been hit by players and the watch keeps going.

If you'll be using it regularly, get a Ready Ref. Best investment I've ever made for working downfield, other than a good pair of shoes.

I don't like the Timex Iron Man watches for the simple fact that it does not have the start and stop functions on the same button.  It's easy to forget which one to press and then you screw up your timer.

I recently bought this one below, although don't know what's up with Target's description - it's not women's, there's no crystal, and it's not silver.  haha
