Some calendars will show this day to be United Nations Day as that was the day of UN's charter. It's also the day that I came to town. I feel very Blessed that I'm still able to be out on the baseball and football fields doing a hobby that I love. Sure, I been "bumped" a few times whileas a football umpire, but Blessed with never having to leave or miss a game. My biggest Blessing is an understanding wife and friendships developed with my fellow Maine officials, members of the NFHS Rules Committee, Maine Principals' Asssociation, press, former players, both former and current coaches AND YOU. My daily routine is : (1) coffee, (2) Bangor Daily News sportspage,(3) log onto Refstripes to see WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. WE DON'T ALWAYS AGREE BUT i FEEL CAMARADERIE WITH MANY.
At age 77, I unsure of how many games I will be able to work in the future or how much longer that I'll still be on this planet. THANK YOU FOR GETTING MY DAYS OFF TO A GOOD START
