3-2-2-f

I have it on good authority that the UIL will NOT use the change to rule 3-2-2-f. Continue to instruct clock operators in UIL contests to "hold" the play clock at 40 when the game clock is under 40 and running. (It could be 25, but that's pretty rare).

As I mentioned elsewhere, the purpose for the NCAA rule change has to do with player-to-coach electronic communications, which the UIL does not allow. So the change was unnecessary for UIL, and would just lead to problems. You know, like when Johnny QB sees the play clock at 18, and thinks he has 18 seconds to snap the ball, but the game clock only has 6 seconds, and runs out on him before he gets the ball snapped. Who catches heck? The QB? NoooO. They yell at us, and threaten to scratch us.
