We know that if a players helmet comes off they must stop participating in the play, BUT... lets say a D-lineman loses his helmet, stops engaging, puts his hand up, BUT STILL the O-Line continue to block him.
UNS on O-line?
Thanks

That’s one for Shaw. But, FWIW and IMHO, which means nothing, I wouldn’t penalize the opponent for a continuation block. The player that loses his helmet may not be able to physically remove himself from the action, but he can drop to the ground, or spin away from the blocker. If he separates himself, then, IMHO, he becomes a player out of the play, and can’t be blocked.

Yeah, use the same guidelines that we would use for him continuing to participate. Allow the initial action to end without a foul. It a player makes a second act or reengages, it would be a personal foul, not UNS.
