TASO Bulletins, Memos, etc.

Help me out, here.

I've got four documents issued from TASO, regarding rules, etc. But, I am somewhat confused, because they are listed as "bulletins" in some places, and "memos" in other places. Here are what I have by title on actual document:

Week 1 Bulletin
(8/27/24)

2024 Training Bulletin 1
(8/28/24)

Week 3 Bulletin
(9/12/24)

2024 Football In-Season Memo #2
(undated, but issued today, 10/17/24)

For whatever reason, when I select the item in the News list, I get an announcement that I can click "here" to view the video, and directions to download the bulletin on the right side of the page. There is no specific hard copy item to select and download. All I can do is select the video and bulletin, again, getting me stuck in a vicious, unending cycle.

What I can't figure out is: If there is an "In-Season Memo #2," is there an "In-Season Memo #1?" I don't find it (at least, not titled as such).

Are those 4 items the only ones? Am I missing something?

I'm confused.

Elvis, I am glad I am not alone.  I looked also to make sure that I had not missed others.

Did you get a notification e-mail from TASO about Memo #2?

I didn’t get an email. I just happen to see it on the website.

I did not get an email notification either, only found out about the bulletin by looking at this site.  Then logging into my TASO account and digging through it to finally find it.  I fully expected Rod to talk about it during his video, but nothing was mentioned.

The problem is, and has always been, that whoever updates the website is wildly inconsistent with naming things, wording used in headlines and links, file names, etc. We really need someone with knowledge of website usability doing the updates. The number of clicks needed to open a document is annoying, too, at least to me.

100% agree; it is hard to navigate the website and to find information.  Could benefit from hiring a firm to do a User-Experience improvement plan. But that would involve costs.

I think something this important (mid-season rules change) should be an email blast to all members.  FYI, I wish they would have just made it a dead-ball illegal substitution foul in the scenarios they cover.  Gonna be challenging to note the clock at the snap.
