Illegal Shift

Looking for philosophy answers on this one:

Offense gets set out of the huddle and then a WR starts to go in motion.  As he is going in motion, the right guard goes into his 3 point stance from a 2 point stance.  WR never stops his motion and ball is snapped.

This is an illegal shift by rule, but is this one we want to get or should we pass on this?

I would have a flag.  By rule B has an expectation that this is actually a shift since while the A back was moving an A lineman clearly also moved when he went to the three point stance.  That means no snap until everyone on A is re-set for a count.  IMO this would give a clear advantage to team A if we don't flag since those players on B who have seen the motion by both players are not expecting the snap until a re-set.

This is a foul, there was an editorial change in this year's book to confirm that this is indeed a shift, and if the WR does not stop, then it constitutes an illegal shift.

The editorial change:

2-22-1-a - Inserted the words "or stance" in the first sentence.

ARTICLE 1. a. A shift is a simultaneous change of position or stance by two
or more offensive players after the ball is ready for play before the snap for a
scrimmage down (A.R. 7-1-3-I-II and A.R. 7-1-2-I-IV).

I would flag it, we always try to avoid some of the technical things but when it is obvious - what do we tell the opposing coach (who definitely saw it).
