Join CFO?
« on: August 07, 2011, 07:23:52 PM »
I plan on going next year to the Reno Clinic, and I will be moving next year to a new location outside of AK. I have the backing of a NFL offical so I am hoping that can help me get hired on next season. Would it help me this year/next year to join the CFO for this season?  Thanks...

If you are going to be in a major college conference you will need to be a member of CFO. They have a lot of good training videos and documents to help you improve also.

I don't know that a supervisor will select you because you are a member of the CFO, but as MJT said, the benefits of the training videos, etc. are definitely a plus.

We've been told that we would not be considered for post season assignments unless we were members of the CFO.

Jason, is that in your college conference?

I know one FBS conference that was told that. The good news is that you DO get some value for your membership (outside of elgibility for a bowl assignment), with the CFO web site, etc.

It was my understanding that it was for all conferences, but I could be wrong.
