Video cameras
« on: December 20, 2011, 08:50:48 PM »
I've thought about video taping a game from my perspective with one of those "glasses cameras" to review later.  Has anyone else thought about this or done this?

Here is a link to one model I have checked out.  http://hunterspec.com/updateable/update_display.cfm?pageid=2603&categoryID=8  They come with clear lenses as well as the tinted (our state association prohibits wearing sunglasses during games).

Any suggestions, comments or ideas?

Interesting.  Apparently Wal-Mart sells them for less than $100, with both dark & clear lenses included.

Sounds like a bargain, IF they work correctly AND they hold up well.

Interesting idea.  I know one of our posters on here wanted to mess with something that attached to the cap and went wifi to a computer. I'd like to attach one to a backjudge's cap just to see what they actually look at all game long....Mike?  ;D

I have taped a few of mine with the small cameras that clip onto your pocket.  The quality is not that great, although some are HD, and the sound is horrible.  The problem I found is that when I run, the video becomes way too jumpy.  Yes, I occasionally run believe it or not.

The model at Walmart is essentially the same as the item I posted.  My biggest problem is I want to see one and the quality of the video it takes before I invest in one.

You would need one that tapes both ways so you can see which way their head is facing AND you can see when they are watching the back of their eyelids!   nAnA

I'm the U and work a lot of 8-man games so the view could be exciting, however I would need to be sure my towel is handy in case I smear my  sNiCkErS on the lenses!

GO to their website and there are examples of the video quality.
