2012 NCAA D-II Football National Rules Test

The Division II Football Committee approved making a passing test on the annual rules exam a requirement for postseason assignment.  This will be a 50-question test and the passing score is 90 percent.  The 2012 NCAA DII Football National Rules Test is open book and may be taken twice.  The test will be released on the CFO Central Hub TESTING Tab on July 16 and will close on August 28.

As with the 2012 CFO exam, let's try to keep all discussion for this test in one thread.

It is out.  Same questions from first test, different answers.  Random selection of those questions.

and it's gone...  it was showing as a pending test, now it is not on the Testing page at all, at least on my account.

I took it and missed two questions, which did not make sense since I have a 100% key from taking the first test.  I took it again when I got a question that did not have a correct answer.  I think it was not to be taken yet and needs tweaked before we take it.

The testing period doesn't end until 8/28, so I wouldn't hold my breath before then.

IMHO, the value of the exam is in taking the whole thing and submitting it for grade, then discussing specific questions to which you either don't know the answer, or got graded incorrect and don't understand why, etc. That's how we learn. Well, that's how I learn. It ain't about scoring 100, because, you should be able to do that in no more than three tries, since they tell you which ones you get wrong.

If you have a specific question, fire away.

Point being everyone here looks to learn from each other, and while no one begrudges another looking for help, you've not presented yourself in such a manner, nor have you provided the first item of information others can use. You've been registered for 5 years and your first posts are "gimme, gimme, gimme."  This is not a place where you are going to get something for nothing. If you've worked the first 70 questions, surely you have something constructive to offer.

Did anyone get a copy of it before it was taken down? or do we need to just wait till the 16th?   I completed the CFO test  aWaRd and was looking to start on this one now.

while it was up there wasn't the ability to download a PDF version like on the full CFO test, so I didn't even look at it yet.

Then you already have what was posted.  It was a random 50 questions from the D1 test (minus replay questions).

REALLY???  Rulesman has offered some excellent advice for you.  You should use these forums as a learning tool and discuss some situations on the test.  That is one way we can learn and hear different perspectives.  If you simply post your answers for others to read or obtain answer keys you have not helped the game of college football nor have you helped the officials who you simply gave answers to.  In fact, you have set both back!  I don't mean to be a snarky preacher here but you need to think if this practice will help you (and others) become better and perform on the field.

I would ask for answer keys only because I dont have a way to submit the tests for grades. I usually take the .docs or .pdfs that yall post, take the tests and wait for answer keys to see how I did.

It too bad the CFO can't do a better job of double checking their answer key.  Here's an example of one I "missed" while taking the test last night:

Question #1

On a kickoff from the A-35, a Team A player starts his approach from the A-28 and is not offside when the ball is legally kicked. The kick goes through the end zone for a touchback.

a. B, 1/10 @ B-25 or re-kick from the A-30.

b. B, 1/10 @ B-30 or re-kick from the A-30.

c. B, 1/10 @ B-20 or re-kick from the A-30.

I answered B and got it wrong.  Key says correct answer is c.

Question #25

A, 2/8 @ B-30... On a legal forward pass behind the neutral zone, the Team A receiver is about to catch the pass when he is pushed by the defender. The pass falls incomplete.

a. A, 1/10 @ B-20

b. A, 1/10 @ B-15

c. A, 3/8 @ B-30
Answer key says A is the correct answer.
