NCAA Update on KO and Helmet Rule Changes

Not really significant increase in touchbacks and helmet rule appears to have no effect.

The way I read it, they are comparing 1st 6 weeks of this season to 1st 6 weeks of last season but you may be right, they could be comapring to all of last season

"New NCAA football kickoff-return rules produced more touchbacks in games played through Oct. 6 than all of the touchbacks that occurred during the entire 2011 season in the Football Bowl Subdivision."
